เรื่องย่อ
เรื่องราวของสาววัยแรกแย้ม แคลรี เฟรย์ (Clary Fray) ซึ่งค้นพบความจริงของตัวเธอเองในวันเกิดวัย 18 ปี เธอได้รู้ว่าตัวเองไม่ใช่คนทั่วไป แต่เป็นนักล่าเงาที่มีหน้าที่กำจัดเหล่าปีศาจร้าย และในขณะที่แม่ของเธอ โจเซลิน (Jocelyn) ถูกลักพาตัวไป ทำให้ แคลรี ได้ก้าวเข้าสู่โลกแห่งการล่าปีศาจอย่างเต็มตัว โดยมีนักล่าเงาลึกลับนามว่า เจซ และเพื่อนซี้อย่าง ไซม่อน คอยช่วยเหลือ แต่ในโลกใหม่นี้อันตรายเกินกว่าที่เธอจะคาดคิด เธอต้องเจอกับแวมไพร์, มนุษย์หมาป่า, พ่อมด และ ภูต
